Statement of Financial Irregularity

The Town of North River has been made aware of an issue regarding a financial irregularity.

The Town of North River has been made aware of an issue regarding a financial irregularity. Council immediately sought the advice of their legal counsel and Municipal Affairs. Based on this advice Council has requested their Auditors complete a review of the towns financial records. When this review is complete Council will issue a further statement.

The Town Council has accepted the resignation of its Town Clerk and the council will be working towards getting a suitable replacement as soon as possible, in the meantime, there will be a temporary adjustment to the regular hours of operation and residents access to the town office may be affected.

The Council Office will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM until a full time replacement has been found.
